Description
This Recommended Practice providesguidelines for the design, installation, operation, repairand abandonment of subsea production systems. Theelements of subsea production systems included (Figure1.1) are wellheads (both subsea and mudline casing suspensionsystems) and trees; pipelines and end connections;controls, control lines and control fluids; templatesand manifolds; and production risers (both rigidand flexible). Other sections of the Recommended Practicecover operations, quality assurance, materials andcorrosion. Specialized equipment such as split trees andtrees and manifolds in atmospheric chambers are notspecifically discussed because of their limited use. However,the information presented is applicable to thosetypes of equipment. This document includes informationon a wide range of equipment and operations toemphasize interrelationships and the need to considersubsea production installations as systems.
